Mother's Day 2015

May is only about half way through, and yet we can honestly say that this has been one of our favorite months in Bootleg Honey history!

We kicked things off with a crazy fun night at the Mystic Theatre opening for Grammy nominated, 5 piece, all lady bluegrass band, Della Mae.  Not only did they blow us away with their music, but they also happened to be some of the sweetest gals on the planet.  Super inspiring to see these women living their dreams.  Can’t wait for them to come back through the North Bay!

We followed up our night at the Mystic by skipping across the bay to Berkeley’s Monkey House with our pals, Spark and Whisper, who we met at last year’s Kate Wolf Festival.  Singer songwriter Ira Marlowe hosts this intimate, primate themed venue where we had an absolute blast sharing our original tunes with some truly delightful folks.  We also ate some really great Thai across the street :)

Fast forward to this Mother’s Day weekend, where all the Honey’s mamas (and Alison’s daughter too!) were in attendance for our return to the Marin County Mart’s Folkish Festival.  We also had the great privilege of performing at the First Presbyterian Church of Petaluma on Saturday for one of the most attentive and friendly audiences ever!  We are already planning our next show at this beautiful church.

Feelin pretty lucky to be spending so much time sharing our music and being with the folks we care about most.  It’s a Bootleg love fest!

Della Mae is a kickass all lady bluegrass band hailing from Nashville, TN, and we couldn’t be more excited to be joining them on May 1st at Petaluma’s Mystic Theatre!  All three of us grew up seeing some of our favorite artists perform at this beautiful historic  venue and we are absolutely thrilled to be returning.  Check out our Upcomin’ Shows for ticket information.

In the meantime please come join us and our pals at Community Market on Sunday April 19th at The Barlow in Sebastopol for their Annual Earth Day Celebration.  See you soon!

We are always so impressed by the outpouring of support and enthusiasm shown by Sonoma County music fans!  Last weekend we had the great pleasure of joining our pals, The Easy Leaves, along with singer songwriter, and Dwight Yokem sideman, Brian Whelan, for what was yet another amazing hometown show.  Huge thanks to all the Hopmonk staff (especially to Ken Braziel for running such killer sound!!), to Jason Baldwin, the North Bay’s resident live music photographer, for capturing the night so beautifully, and to all the friends, family and fans who keep showing up and partying down like only they know how!

Welcome to our brand spankin’ new website!  This is now the place to get all the latest in Bootleg Honeys news and events, to check out videos, and to stream/download our current EP.  Big thanks to Preston Reyes for building this site, as well as to Erik Brown for his awesome design and logo.  You guys rock!

We are so excited for the upcoming season and can’t wait to be back in the Sonoma County sunshine playing music and hanging out with all y’all!  We will be returning to some of our favorite venues and playing lots of new ones too, both in the Bay Area and beyond.

Thank you so much to all our families, friends and fans for all the support and encouragement.  We feel truly blessed to be able to share our music with you all, and can’t wait to see what the future holds for the Bootleg Honeys!  See you all soon!
